About Us
Nestled in a historic brick building in Downtown Eau Claire, Houligans Steak & Seafood Pub has been offering fine dining with a pub atmosphere to the Chippewa Valley since 2002. Renowned as Eau Claire's premier steak and seafood destination, we are home to the famous Candied Garlic Sauce™. Our menu features aged, hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood, served by an exceptional team in a warm and inviting setting. Founded by Executive Chef Guy Logan and General Manager Jon Seybold, who bravely transitioned from 40 years in country club management, Houligans has become a beloved establishment thanks to their blend of expertise, dedication, and a dash of luck.
Our Story
Houligan’s Steak & Seafood Pub was born in 2002 when our executive chef Guy Logan and general manager Jon Seybold decided to put their 40 years of private country club experience behind them and mortgaged their homes to open our establishment. They survived their first few years in business with only luck and experience on their side, but the dedication paid off, as we are now one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in Eau Claire.
As with any new business venture, hands-on experience is an essential ingredient to success, as proven by our decades of serving delicious food to our guests. Our combination of quality food and great atmosphere makes for an excellent dining experience here at Houligan’s. Our inviting and comfortable pub setting will make you feel at ease, and our trained staff is attentive and knowledgeable about our full-course menu.
We are best known for our premium cut steaks and fresh seafood made with locally sourced ingredients. Our menu also includes soups and salads, pasta, chicken, desserts, cocktails, craft beers, and wine. We provide catering services and have a banquet facility available to host wedding rehearsals and other events.

Best dry, extra dirty Grey Goose martini on this side of the state. Waitress was amazing. Enjoyed both the salmon & cod dinners. Nice, chill atmosphere with lots of original wood features.

I recently started going to Houligans a few times a week by recommendation from one of the chefs, and can say I'm thoroughly impressed with the establishment. Incredibly friendly staff all around, delicious food, and a wonderful environment. I started off by trying the Irish Whiskey Cheesecake and a raspberry mojito, and have continued going back since. I highly recommend trying the scallops, as they are the best scallops I have personally ever had. The presentation of the food is always stunning, super colorful, and well put together by the skilled chefs. It's always a good time when I go, and I would recommend Houligans to anyone who is willing to spend a bit more money for some of the best food and drinks in Eau Claire!
